AIM

To position Katherine region as the prime location in Australia to attract people who wish to improve their skills, qualifications and knowledge in remote & Indigenous health care

OBJECTIVES

  • To facilitate the development of a remote and Indigenous health knowledge industry in the Katherine region.

  • To facilitate the establishment a Centre of Excellence in remote and Indigenous health.

  • To maximise economic, health and education benefits for the Katherine region that are generated by the Centre of Excellence in Health.

  • To facilitate more opportunities for health personnel to develop their skills and knowledge in remote and indigenous health.

  • To maximise local employment and retention of the health workforce in the Katherine region.
